Parents sentenced to 10 years’ jail for torturing kid – NewsX

The parents of 13-year-old Shaurya have been sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonment for torturing their own son. The Delhi court also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on the couple. The teen deposed before the court against his parents. Shaurya told the court how he was beaten since childhood. Shaurya was first brought to the hospital when he was merely three years old. The kid had consumed insecticides, Soon, hospital visits became almost a part of his routine. He has had 17 fractures in his limbs and has even developed deformities. He is suffering from cerebral palsy. He is classified as 90 per cent disabled.
